Re using stock seat covers?
I have two short benches, burb and blazer style. Both have the white vinyl with blue highlander inserts. They are pretty filthy overall but I feel they could clean up nicely. One though has a tear in the back panel about five inches or so long. The other one has no imperfections Ive found, I have not fine tooth combed it though.
If I can carefully take these covers off can they be reused, or will they be too old and probably brittle? Has anyone done this before? I don't recall seeing a thread on actually taking a good original one off and reinstalling on another seat.

Re: Re using stock seat covers?
I never have, but when I had a new cover put on, my upholstery guy suggested I hang onto my original because it was in good condition other than a spot in the driver seating area. I assume that meant it could be repaired and installed.
I also sold a Custom Deluxe seat to a guy that had bought a new take off Highlander seat cover he needed a seat to install on. I'd say it depends on the condition of the fabric. I don't mean the cover, that fabric itself. An old seat can look perfect after years of non-use. But starting to use it can change things or not. Maybe have an upholstery guy look at them.
