Explain this please...
This is the second dash outer shell I have found like this.
Why is the steering column part not cutout? I can't figure it out why it would have been sold. Just makes me wonder.

Andy, that's a bezel for a c40+ The firewall and angle of the steering column were different then the light duty trucks. Hope that helps

Quite a few of the tach dashes you see are from the C-40, 50 & 60 trucks. Unless the bezels have been swapped out, that is how you can tell. No big deal, you can just cut the plastic out to the upper line and put it in..... LockDoc

That's what I'm planning to do. I got a couple of dashes I'm going to repaint and fix up just to have if I ever need one.

Re: Explain this please...
I pulled a gauge cluster from a medium duty truck, and one of the red warning lights a the bottom of the fuel gauge says (tandem lock) when you start the truck.
So use a fuel gauge from a light duty truck. |

Re: Explain this please...
^^^ Or just not a tandem medium duty. I wonder if (single rear) air brake trucks still use the brake warning light
