Well the first fire up could not have went much better. It fired up on the first crank and idled decent. The ECM is still how it came from PSI so it definitely needs a tune and I had to cobble together an intake tube so my MAF meter could be mounted. The Fans came on at 190 and 195 like they were supposed to. I am super happy so far.

Since there were no issues I'm going to get the front end assembled for good and fab up a permanent air intake that will clear the inner fenders. I did take some video today but I need my son to show me how to put it on here. We are off to a local car show but I will try to post the video tonight.

I'm like you, I don't like wires showing. I just got my truck back from painting. So I'm finally at the point of putting everything back together. You have given me lots of ideas on how to hide my wires for my truck.

This was my first job of hiding wires on my 67 Cutlass. I learned a lot on what not to do.

I have a small junction box(waterproof) like you would see on the tongue of a trailer that the relays mount inside of. Your engine bay looks great by the way.

It feels like I have been away from here for a year. The truck is extremely close to being done but it's not there yet. For those of you that know me personally, you know what I have been going though with my dads health. It has taken the wind out of my sails as far as getting out in the shop and not much has gotten done in the past few months. I had an offer to buy the truck as it sits a few weeks ago but he never showed or called back. I have made up my mind to finish the truck, shake it down and put a few thousand miles on it and let it go to a new home. I really thought I would keep this one for a while but my heart just isn't in it anymore.

I will update this thread soon. Thanks to all of you for the PM's and texts over the last few months. My family appreciates it more then you know. I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving!

It felt good to get back on the truck this weekend. I took my steering wheel to specialty paint and had them color match the wheel and mix a single stage and put it in a rattle can. I painted the new Iditit column yesterday and got it installed today.

I need to figure out what I’m going to do for shift linkage. Lokar makes a cable linkage that looks cool by I’m open for any suggestions.

I know it has been quite some time since we have all heard from you, and hopefully, that means the truck is finished and running well!

If not, I can answer the shift linkage question. This is what I used in my LS swapped truck.

Takes some time to adjust it so it works properly, but once it is there it works perfectly. I have put over 5,000 miles on my truck since setting it up, and have not had one issue with the linkage.
