Help! What's the deal with this brake booster on my 72 GMC?
Ordered a new brake booster for my 72 GMC 1/2 ton. See pictures attached. Bolt pattern on the old one looks to be 4", and the new one is 3 3/8". I don't see any options for different boosters to buy. Any idea why my old one has a different pattern? Thanks!

I'm hoping that for some reason I have the wrong brackets. No idea what this booster is from if that's the case. Just ordered this from Jegs.

Your new one is a China repop that requires the repop bracket also

You better cancel those brackets. They're for a 67-72 Chevelle

Get ahold of Frank (pickmup) in Washington State. He builds power brake boosters that are better than factory.

I found that out the hard way as well. I could not find a rebuilt booster so I bought the whole kit and tried to use new booster on oem brackets and they were different sized. I used all the conversion setup except the pushrod because the original one looked WAY more heavy duty.

Screw it. Ordered a reman unit from O'Reilly. Should be here tomorrow. Won't look as good as a new one, but should bolt on. Hope I can return the Chinese one to LMC without too much trouble....
