Crooked alternators

So my friend was taking care of my truck while I was away for half a year, and the alternator went while he was doing it. So I sent a one wire alternator back and he put it on. But theres a spacer tube or something like that that we forgot about. Long story short, it got worn out and crooked. So learning from our mistakes, I bought a new alternator and made a spacer for it to keep it flush, but that alternator also wore out and got crooked.
Are there any alternators I can get that have an integrated spacer thing?

Re: Crooked alternators

Pretty sure I remember that steel tube spacer from when I replaced my alternator. No clue if they are available..... it might be a junkyard item.

Re: Crooked alternators

I'd need to see what you have in order to offer any help. These alternators themselves are getting crooked or they end up sitting crooked in the brackets. What exactly is crooked and how long does it take to get that way?
