I believe that bracket is used to hold a white plastic reservoir, not a bottle.

Yes Rolland. That's a better description of what I'm looking for. I've been told that the plastic reservoir sits in a metal frame that sits in the bracket pictured. Which ever, I'm still looking.

If no one has one here, they come up on Ebay now and then. Reservoir has ridges that slide directly onto the bracket V shaped slots.

Re: WTB windshield washer bottle for '61
The bracket came off my '61 Apache mounted next to the master cylinder. Truck has two speed wipers with washers. Hoses all seem to be factory installed. The whole truck seemed to be original and unmolested.
Would appreciate any information or leads. |

Re: WTB windshield washer bottle for '61
I did a search by part number and found that the two speed wiper with washer was factory installed. Supposedly the same as a '61 Corvair and the Lakewood station wagon. It is not reproduced.
Found a used one on line from a Corvair parts dealer in Cal. When it comes, if it fits, I'll post some pictures. |

Re: WTB windshield washer bottle for '61
I got the tank and lid from the Corvair parts dealer in California. It fits fine.
Also, I had to replace the windshield wiper motor casing because one of the mounting tabs was broken. A guy in South Carolina used a casing from a Corvair to replace it. So apparently the two speed wiper with washer is the same as the '61 Corvair. Another forum member was looking for the mounting bracket, I'd suggest Googling that part number and check with Corvair parts dealers. Pictures of the bottle and lid are attached. |
