Type F had them but in very limited numbers from 63 I think it was till they mainstreamed them in the early 80's. Brand D got away from crew cabs in the later 80's. I heard since Ford owned Cummins they could not put them in Crew Cabs per the agreement. Which is weird since Ford went with Internation in 85? Then why not cummins. I had a 7.3 rclb F250 diesel for a couple months I converted to a short bed, and flipped for a $5000 dollar swing after my divorce. While not anywhere near a Cummins it was decent on power, and excellent on mpg. I have never heard a good reason why type F dropped the ball so bad. |
