Motor Install with Pictures!!!
Ok Guys the motor is in. I will be hooking up everything tomorrow. I cant wait till it runs. Any comments or suggestions are welcome. I am looking for a stock fan to replace the flex fan. It cut the Krap out of me Friday I no longer like it.

That looks really good. Sorry to hear the fan ate your finger. Why not put an electric fan on there? You can find them for cheap at your local pic-n-pull

I'd say go Electric -- Very clean, and very effective

I know what you are saying. The flex fan on my 63 seems to cut me anytime i get with a foot of it.

Looking very good!!
Nice to have those fenders out of the way to do that. I wouldn't have a flex fan near me for two reasons; They are known to grenade at any moment (happened to me in a Camaro) and they make too much noise for me. If the manufactuers would stagger the blades like GM does..........they would be quieter......but they won't for some reason(?) Those are nice valve covers you have there too. Want to see what they look like after 30 years of use? Here's a pic of a set 30+ years old I just stuck on my new stroker to keep the dust off the rockers. |
