1966 C10 BBW short/fleet barn find

I purchased this truck from the Original owner. Truck had a mild restoration in 2001 with a recovered seat and a paint job. The stock 283 was replaced with a factory crate motor (350 Goodwrench) The truck had after market mirrors and late model hubcaps installed and it was used lightly for several years until parked when the original owner fell ill.

The originality and completeness, general condition of this truck is stunning. All trim is in mint condition. The dash is not modified. under the hood the overflow bottle as well as the factory windshield washer fluid reservoir brackets are in place and rust free. there is no rust in the floors. there is very minor rust in the front lower fenders and a small spot on the bottom of the doors. All very repairable. All glass is original. The stock chrome rear bumper is available as well as the factory brackets. (They were removed when the current bumper was installed in 2001)

72,625 total miles

$16,000

Here are the pictures as it was the day we pulled it out of the barn.

The back up lights were stolen.

We installed a new battery and cleaned the carburetor and the truck started and ran. We backed it out of the barn, aired up the tires and drove it 5 miles into town to a coin car wash and sprayed it off.

After stopping at the local auto parts store to purchace a fire extinguisher I drove the truck 120 miles back to my shop. It drove flawlessly and by the time we arrived back in Salinas it drove as if it had never been parked.
