Re: Custom Comfort Option aka. Deluxe Seat

The 66 I just bought has a MINT original deluxe seat and I know of a decent 63 seat that I can buy

Re: Custom Comfort Option aka. Deluxe Seat

I have te original cover on my large seat in my 65 Suburban. the truck has the Z62 Custom Comfort Option. I also sent for a sample and price from SMS in February, but a little too much for me, so will have the rear seat done to match the front.

Re: Custom Comfort Option aka. Deluxe Seat

I have an unoriginal 1961 standard seat that needs recovering and foam.

Any advice on what route to take in recovering it?

Id like to stay with the original look but does anyone know of a vender that makes covers for our seats that fit well and look decent? Money is the limiting factor for me (as it is for most of us). I am trying to avoid going the custom route, as I would assume its more expensive.

Im afraid of getting a cover and new foam from someone like LMC or Brothers and not having it fit correctly. Any advice is welcome.

Thanks,

Dan.

You found one with a clock you don't see very many. I found one last year and it works.

Re: Custom Comfort Option aka. Deluxe Seat

I took the seat out of my 66 to remove the gas tank. I noticed the seat cover was held on by metal clips instead of hog rings. Does this mean it is the original seat cover?

local upholstery shop owner did a great job with very nice fit factory job!

my '65 C20 Z62 seat.. this my dad's truck I learned to drive in, correct seat was very important to me...
