Thanks again for the information. I know that this will be painfully obviouse once I see them, but how do you remove them once you place your spot welds? Do you remove them from the back side or somehow squeeze the bottom part between the two pieces you are trying to weld? WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

The piece that levels the two pieces of sheet metal out on the underside and clamps them in place is basically a piece of 1/4" keystock. It fits through a square hole in the piece that fits between the sheet metal pieces. Once welded, you loosen the wingnut, and slide the 1/4" keystock out from the backside.

But you're right, once you have one in hand, they explain themselves!

You also have to have access to the other side of the panel to put the thingy through the hole so they arent for every situation.
