ISO. Dana 60 coil spring 3:54
Helping out a friend with a ‘67 C20. His Eaton Eo52 is finished and he needs a replacement. Trying to get him a better gear for driving. Probably along shot, but would like to find a Dana 60 coil spring rear with 3:54 gears in good condition. If anyone reading this has one, please pm or email me at Lenox273@yahoo.com. Thank you. I’m in Northern Ky. If your too far away, shipping won’t be a problem for me if it won’t be for you.

Re: ISO. Dana 60 coil spring 3:54
Imho,
In 25 plus years of playing around with and owning these trucks I've only come across 1 Dana 60 C10- GMC1500 coil spring app. SPID code is G87, indicating a power lok rear. 1/2 ton Danas were used up to and including '70. 3/4 ton and 1 ton Danas are more common and we're used up to '72. I'm currently doing a suburban build that came with this rear originally. With that said, it's been challenging to say the least because it's completely different from a 12 bolt GM rear that is more common and has a bunch of aftermarket support. Wheel choices, rear disc brakes, etc Another consideration would be GM's 14 bolt semi float rear with 5 lug axles. This also is supported by the aftermarket. A couple years ago there was a Dana 60 1/2 ton rear for sale on the board, not sure who bought it. Maybe someone could find the link. Or if I find it, I'll post it. Re: ISO. Dana 60 coil spring 3:54
These are out there in C20/GMC2500. I have a Dana 60 3.54 gear with Powerloc in a 72 C20 , but I am not planning on parting with it. Look for big block trucks with automatics, as most of the small blocks will have 4:10 gearing. When I bought my truck my initial plan was to convert the truck to 1/2 ton, but after some researching, I am leaving it as is and keeping the Dana. Good luck with your search.

Re: ISO. Dana 60 coil spring 3:54
Thanks Dave and Chevman. I’m am looking for a 3/4 ton 8 lug rear. My fault. I should have been a little more clear on that. Planning on doing the 14 bolt swap. Just thought I’d give a Dana search a shot before proceeding. Read a lot of archived posts on the swap and Dana option. Just trying to avoid doing a lot of work that isn’t necessary if I can run up on a Dana to start with. I’ll keep looking. Thanks for your replies.

Re: ISO. Dana 60 coil spring 3:54
We found one. It was for a leaf spring truck. But is a Dana 60 with 3.54 it came from a 70 fyi. The ring and pinon were stamped 10/69. So you may start a search with that info. Maybe older rather than newer. We had a Eaton 4.10. Swapped it out everything lined up perfect fit. May try ABQ c10 I think. Jeff is his name he has a rear from a coil spring truck. Dont know which rear he has. Eaton or Dana.

Thanks Dave and Painterljp. I searched for a member ABQ C10 but there isn’t one. Did he have an add? I searched adds too and didn’t see one.

His user name here is ABQ-c10. I have his number will try to call him today and see what he has and ask him if I can give you his number. When you search just put in ABQ and unclick exact box and his ads will pop up.

The most common place to look is BB 3/4T Suburbans. A few trucks also had them.

Re: ISO. Dana 60 coil spring 3:54
I have one in Denver out of a 3/4 ton big block truck. Checked it and it's an open rear. I still need this until I part the truck it's under so if you're not in a rush we could work something out.

Not mine, and the wrong ratio, but pretty close to what you are looking for. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...7983400569154/
