55.2-59 Flatout C4 IRS Brake line routing

For those with a 55-59 and a Flatout C4 IRS setup, how did yall route the rear brake lines?

Trying to decide where/how to mount the tab to hold the line from the caliper.

Being the impatient person I am when I have a welder handy, I tacked this in a spot that seems viable...somebody tell me why this might be a bad idea, or else I'm burning it in and dealing with upcoming suprises.

I'm putting C4 into mine but not using the Flatout kit.

edit: Actually I just noticed you will be running your hard line under the frame, I think I would run it through with a bulkhead fitting or over the top.

that seems to be about where i put mine, but mine are straight up and down. don't worry about being under frame as it is well above the scrub line.

I figured it would be more accessible that way. I might be able to mount it on the dogbone bracket instead...this line is pretty short so my options aren't plentiful.

Do you think the line would get crimped somehow?

I think that brake lines running under the frame are vulnerable to rocks, jacks, road debris etc. Don’t think I would do it.

Okay, I went ahead and made new tabs that were longer so I could change the mounting position and came up with this spot. I can run the line through the dogbone bracket, over it, etc and it should provide a bit more protection.

I didn't take a photo but I notched the tab to accept the factory C4 rear brake lines. You cant just drill a 5/8" hole and be done with it, the line is keyed to only go in a certain way. I filed in the notches where the line sat most comfortably while mounted in this configuration.
