Price on project trucks

Hello everyone,
I have been out of the 67-72 scene for a while and am wanting to get everyones advice on pricing some projects. I know pictures would be great, but can anyone give me a general price for the trucks listed below. The first is a 1969 C-20, originally an inline 6, 4 speed truck. The engine is missing. Overall the body is in very rough shape. The cab needs almost every replacement piece that is made; Complete floor pan, cab corners, rockers, firewall, cowl panel, inner cowel panel, and the new complete a piller panel that GMC paul's has. The bed is very rough as well. The second truck is a 1969 C-10, this truck is in decent shape, it has a locked up small block and a three speed. only rust on this truck is in the rockers, cab supports, and very little in the floor. The last truck is a 1970 C-20. This truck is a small block auto trans truck. The engine is locked up. Truck is factory A/C, Power steering, Power breaks. Cab needs rockers,1 cab support, and drivers floor pan needs work. also the bed floor in this truck is very pitted, as well as the tailgate is bad. What would be a fair price for each of these trucks? Thank you everyone for the advice! -Blastboy

Re: Price on project trucks

These are just my opinions, and values are also dependent on location, so take them with a grain of salt:

Truck #1 - Maybe $500, but I'd probably pass even at that price.
Truck #2 - $1500 - $2000, depending on how much I wanted it.
Truck #3 - $1000 - $1500, mostly because of the PS and AC.

Just my opinion - the bottom line is that any vehicle is worth what someone is willing to pay, and these prices reflect what I'd be willing to pay.

Seems like all need lots of work. Depending on your budget maybe look in other places in the US where you can find a rust free truck. I think mechanics will be much easier and cheaper than body work.

^ this is good advice. Maybe buy one for a donor, but I would drive out west and find a solid truck

They all sound like parts trucks to me. Maybe $200 for the first one and maybe up to $700 on the other 2 if there are any good parts left. I would pay more and find something better to start with.

That would be nice BUT , Your not buying anything in the Knoxville area for $200.00-$700.00 Those deals are all gone already . Especially anything with a clear clean title on wheels . There are a lot of guys with equipped home shops buying them up to rebuild, Hide in their barn to sell down the road or just part out .Ask me how I know .

Re: Price on project trucks

The market is really heating up for these things. If I had the room I would be stocking up on them myself.

So off of his description, what would you say they are worth in your area?
