vintage air sure fit for 1967 c10 installation cost

All,
I have a sure fit Generation 4 system I bought from one of the dealers on this site. How much should it cost to have it installed in the truck? The duct area in my dash was welded up by the previous owner who was an idiot. When I do a search on the internet, I cannot find any answers for this that is not many years old. In other words along time ago on the quotes.
Any help would be appreciated.

My guess is at $75-100/hr, it will probably be around $1000. Dunno about un-doing the hack job welding.

So that was figuring 10hrs labor. 4hrs = $400.

Does it say how long an experienced mechanic should spend installing it?

I've installed two VA gen4 systems now. Its safe to say its a 3-5 day job between disassembling dash/grill, modifying the factory controls, wiring and putting everything back together. A 67/68 truck is easier because taking the grill out isn't necessary for sneaking the drier/condenser hard lines through. If your truck has factory ac that shaves some time off by not having to modify the core support or cut in dash vents. Not sure what a shop would charge for the install but it is a pile of work
