I have a 1993 GMC that dosn't have the factory tach dash. How much trouble and what all would I need to change it over to the factory one? Would the dash have to come from a '93 or what years would work? Thanks!!

It's easy! Get a tach cluster from a 92-94 with the same style engine as yours. (for instance, if yours is a gas v8, get one from a truck with a gas v8, not a v6 or a diesel) Once you have your new cluster, just plug 'er in. The tach will work and the speedo will be accurate (as long as it was accurate before).

Thanks again Steveo! If I had knew it was that easy I would have done it a long time ago. Is there anyway to polish the scratches out of the plastic cover? I was going to buy one from our local dealership but they told me it's discontinued.

Polishing compound always did a good job on our plastic protective face shields and painting hoods. I've thought about polishing my cluster sheild as well. If you decide to do it, keep me updated on how you did it and how well it worked.

Discontinued? Really? That's wierd because i recently bought a new lens for the 91 tach cluster i have in my 89. Anyways, you should be able to polish it with some cut polish and a buffer. If u don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, any compotent detail shop or body shop should be able to do it in about 3 minutes.
