Installing LMC Exhaust

1970 K10, 350 engine. I am installing an LMC exhaust, and i have a probably newbie question. Do i bolt it directly to the exhaust manifold (OE ram horn style) with the "exhaust donut" or do i need these to bolt it to the exhaust manifold? any answers would be appreciated. I know on the 1963 corvette these are needed bolting to the factory exhaust manifolds.

Re: Installing LMC Exhaust

You do need those inserts, otherwise the donuts will burn up pretty quick

X2, I had no source for the sleeves, years ago on my 283 in my 67 Bel Air. The sleeves will help the longevity of the donuts. You can also use some high temp Permatex ultra copper on the donut edges to help them seal.

Look'n good!!!
