Assemble bed, then paint?

Assemble the bed to check fit. Do your bodywork enlarge mounting holes ect then disassemble. Reason being most repo parts have crappy primers and when you paint you will never get into the seams. Rust will start quickly . At the very least color coat all the edges and reassemble the bed sand and do your paint.

I did metallic paint while the bed was apart. But and a big but is to do all the parts at the same time.

One way or another the entire thing needs rust prevention. I'm on-board already mentioned, build it, mark and note, tear it down and paint. Same with all parts if you can.

That bed 72C20 looks awesome. Nice cart too.
