New Project and Show
Hello! It's been a while since I posted, but I always use this site for reference and ideas. I'm starting a new build, this time a 71 C10 that will be kinda radical and will probably be "on the nose" for some people. I wanted to do something different for my first "truck" project since leaving Truck-Tech, and I had this one sitting around so we started bench-racing. I actually like some of the asian styling que's that are out there, flares, wing, etc... so I've incorporated them on the rendering. I'll change the sheet metal up front, we'll use different wheels than the drawing, and for not the engine is a bit of a secret until we secure some details, but It's gonna be a really fun truck!! The custom stuff will be purposeful, minimal, and designed for function. I'll post more info when the time gets closer to seeing shows, but I'll show images and some short videos on FB and IG. Thanks for letting me hang out and show what i'm doing! Sorry about the wing! LOL! ( not sorry) KT

Re: New Project and Show
i like the sport/race truck look. so i like most of the rendering. don't like the skull thing on the door and wing is ok; personally like the lip wings that just sit on the tailgate.
need to dump the exhaust out the side panel in front of the rear wheels to complete the look. |

Re: New Project and Show
Hey there Kevin! Lookin forward to see what you come up with. I sure do appreciate all the videos you've put out, both on your own and through Eastwood. I go to see them sometimes for a refresher before I tackle a spray job. Any details about the show you can share?

Wow! I didn't know Kevin Tetz visited this forum. I was watching some of your Eastwood videos a couple of days ago. This looks like a cool build, I'll definitely be following along.

Re: New Project and Show
Thanks guys!! Yeah, the rendering is just that.... an idea board. I may change the wing, and I do like the ducktail-spoiler ones that I've seen... I just want to be different on this one. ( but not at the expense of design and style)
I'll fill in details as we continue, but the big one is the Schwartz Chassis! We'll pick it up at the end of this month! Can't wait! then we can really start to put things together. KT |

Re: New Project and Show
Looks like a good plan the touring race truck thing seems to be hot stuff at the moment and as far as I can see from YouTube anyhow there has only been a couple built and they are by no means show cars so can’t wait for this one!

Re: New Project and Show
Welcome back. It's your 10 year anniversary from your last post on this site
Big fan Kevin. I've definitely searched for and watched all your videos and still watch your older Trucks! episodes for reference and motivation. Eastwood and LMC too! Very excited to see a new show and watch the build of this C10. I'm always a fan of seeing new ideas on these trucks. Creates motivation and teaches someone like me(DIY) how to work on and come up with new ideas. .

Re: New Project and Show
Always enjoyed watching your shows, Kevin. I can't wait to see this truck built up. I loved your article from August about the state of "reality" car shows. I just can't watch them (except for the guys at Roadkill). Glad to see you're still around here.

Re: New Project and Show
I'm a big fan Kevin, I've been watching you for a long time on several different shows!
I watched all three episodes and can honestly say that I wasn't expecting to see that drivetrain go in, but it sounds like the idea was to do something different and that's cool. Can the episodes be a little longer? There are so many little details and things that just can't get covered in 12 minutes.
