Motorhome sway bar?? Anyone used one? Want a free one to experiment with?
Has anyone used a motorhome sway bar on their 67-72?
They are 1.25" thick, like the 1 ton trucks They are slightly wider and straight in the area where they sweep aft to the control arms. The center between the frame rails kicks up (or down) about 1" The motorhome chassis has the same frame rail width as the trucks. I suspect the control arms and/or crossmember are wider. If anyone local wants to experiment and try one, I'll hook you up with a freebie. The thin pickup bar I measured is 36 3/4" wide (center to center) The motorhome bar is 41 1/4" wide I'm speculating that you could move the control arm mount point outboard and it may fit. No idea if there's any interference. If I had more than just a bare frame, I'd give it a shot.
