Tuff Country and Skyjacker 4" springs
I have considered Alcan or Deaver springs but they're insanely high in comparison to these two companies.
If I end up going with either the tuff country or skyjacker soft ride 4" springs has anyone been in or had both? Which gives a better daily driver ride? Spring rates aren't the end all. I see some say their skyjackers ride nice others say "hate to see their non softrides" same with tuff country and I know at the end of the day it's a SFA chevy pickup but which springs are better overall? Thanks |

Re: Tuff Country and Skyjacker 4" springs
I had Skyjacker Soft Ride 4" kit in my old '72 K/5, it cruised nice, good for a driver.

Re: Tuff Country and Skyjacker 4" springs
I do not have any personal experience with the two springs but I would go with the soft ride if you do not have a winch in the front or tow a lot. Also, if you go with a 4" lift I would strongly suggest you get the sway bar relocation kit from off road design. Relocating the sway bar on the my truck made a HUGE difference.

Re: Tuff Country and Skyjacker 4" springs
tuff country is the hot one for years on square body and good ride .
next is bilstein shock are the BIG ticket right now in ride quality . as said next get a sway bar disconnect kit from offroad design and use it to fix the sway bar angles for the drop with the lift and also let the bar flex and work better and not make the axle fell so stiff and bound up under there .
