I also have a 1968 Chevy C10 SWB factory 396/400 turbo black with red interior but mine did not come with AC.

I say keep it and enjoy.

lmn/HeavyHauler, I was wondering if either (or both) of you could do me a favor. If your trucks have original drivetrain could you verify a couple things?

1 - I assume both are TH400 and coil spring 6-lug dana 60
2 - Driveshaft diameter
3 - U-joint size (front and rear, I suspect 1310)

I get that it's sentimental, but at the end of the day it's just sheetmetal. It will sit and deteriorate even if it's parked, so get out there and enjoy it. If my dad passed away tomorrow, he would want me out driving and enjoying his truck that we built together.
