Panhard bar bushing
One of the bushings is shot and truck wanders a bit. Do I have to prop up the frame with jack stands first? Easy job?

Re: Panhard bar bushing
My wife won't let me put it in the garage so it will have to become a summer job on the grass.
Otherwise it ran so nice on its dump run the other day and there were lots of good comments from some of the city workers, none of whom were as old as the truck. |

Re: Panhard bar bushing
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to get permission.
If it's not lowered it should be an easy job without having to jack it up. If you have the parts just do it. Tell them the guys online said it was okay. What she gonna do, cut your hair and send you to sea?

Re: Panhard bar bushing
There's not much hair left but I would like to go sailing again.
You've got some nice vehicles there. I can remember as kids my brother and I in the back of a 48 Chev panel going down a hill with my dad pumping on non-existing brakes. Second gear got it slowed down enough to make the turn at the bottom. We also had a 51 Chev 1 ton farm truck that hauled a lot of turnips in its day. |
