Thrush 89027 exhaust kit.

Hey guys I have a 70 long bed with coils. It has a bbc withlong tube headers. I would like some pics on installs of the exhaust. Did you guys have to cut it? I'm having issues where it goes from crossmember past the trailing arms. Also where are you exiting the pipes? Help is appreciated. Instructions they have are crap.

I used a Pypes kit with Chevelle headers and cut holes in the trailing arm crossmember. I also installed electric cutouts and a tubular trans crossmember. My tailpipes exit in the factory locations, behind the rear wheels. I don’t have any good pics.

Subscribed. I just bought one of these myself. I'm probably a month or so out from install however so I'll be interested to see what you find out.

This is a partial pic of the exhaust being installed on my 72 long bed. I have Doug Thorley tri y headers and 2 1/2 pipe with flow master knock offs. I did not install it. The exit is right behind the rear tires pointed down like the rear of a chevelle.it is not very loud at all and sounds good.

What can you tell me about that carrier bearing setup you have in picture. It is not the typical 72 and earlier carrier bearing...

Re: Thrush 89027 exhaust kit.

It has been on the truck since I have owned it. I have owned the truck over 25 years. It does look like it is larger and more heavy duty then the typical one I see.
