Header Advice Please
I have bought a set of dynomax headers and I noticed the tubes look dangerously close to the plugs ie: burnt wires look to be in my future. I have always run manifolds on all of my toys until this project for some reason ,so I dont have alot of experience with headers. Is it the headers meaning did I buy a cheap set or is this common for these trucks and if so what are some solutions like high temp wires header wrap etc. What have you guys experienced?

Use shorty plugs and you can gain some clearance. I am going to install plug wire insulators from Summit beacuse I just burnt through another wire(read expensive) and I am using shorty plugs already.

Yup, high temp wires & shorty plugs! i cant say from experience on the dynomax headers, but I have run Hedman, & Hooker with very little problems.....once in a while, I do have a plug boot split from the heat(what the he!! , its a hotrod!). Some of the best wires I have run are MSD spiral core. They seem to hold up to the heat pretty well. crazyL

ceramic-coated headers fry less wires because they'll run cooler
