Broken Cab Mount Nut

While removing the cab attach bolts from 1986, the rear right anchor nut broke loose and just spun in the channel (had to grind head off to get cab off). Wondered if anyone has had to repair a broken nut (it's in the u-channel at the back of the cab) and could give me some advice. Is there some chevy site that might talk about that kind of repair?
