Arrow WTB Power Steering Brackets and Pulley

I'm in the planning stages of installing power steering onto my 68 pickup. I have a 71 donor frame that also has a power steering box on it. I will be using the 71 power steering box after I have it rebuilt. I don't think that I need 71 specific brackets, just short water pump brackets. I also need the single groove pulley. It looks like I can get a bracket that might work on ebay for $30, but I'd rather have the OEM style if possible/practical.

Picture for reference and stolen from Grumpy. I do not need chrome brackets, though! I'm not sure if all of the brackets for these trucks are the same, but I just need something functional and not year-specific.

Thanks in advance!

Does that pulley screw on? It almost looks like it presses on and I’m looking for the screw on type. That’s my fault for not specifying. Also, do you have the other brackets needed? It looks like the arm and smaller bracket shared by Grumpy are missing.

I really appreciate the offer, but I’d like to see if there’s a screw on type pulley out there available with a bracket assembly as well. Thank you!

Re: WTB Power Steering Brackets and Pulley

I am going to the junk yard tomorrow. I need some parts but could also get the brackets you need . They would be coming off of a 68 V-8 SBC C-30 truck. Let me know which brackets you would want, and the max you would want to pay. I am not going to mark the up, but don't want to get stuck with them either.

I’m interested, but I would like to see if big bird can get a pulley as well at the junk yard tomorrow. If not, I can always get a new pulley for ~$25 on eBay or Amazon.

Hi BigBird, that’s a really nice offer. I’m looking for the power steering pump brackets and (undamaged) pulley for a short water pump setup. Hopefully it still has the short water pump.

I can get the whole setup for $50 shipped on eBay, so ideally not more than that. I’ll look for your post tomorrow with an update. Thanks again!

I thought I needed them, but I realized today that my heads don’t have the accessory mounting holes in them, so I don’t think I can use the stock alternator brackets anymore. Do you know if that’s how the stock brackets are supposed to mount? Attached is a borrowed pic of my heads.

Yes, they mount to the heads.

I just realized that if you’re in the junk yard I need the water pump and crank pulleys as well. I’d be willing to pay probably $75 for all of that if it comes down to it, but hopefully junk yard prices are better than that. I’ll PM you my cell if you have any questions.
