Post FS/Trade '70 CST LWB 350/350 (Reduced)

This is my daily driver going up forsale. I am the third owner and have receipts on almost all the new parts. The truck has factory air that works (converted to 134), new springs front and rear, brakes, bushings, shocks, tires, exhaust and exhaust manifolds. The TH-350 was rebuilt roughly a year and a half ago and shifts very firm. All new u-joints and carrier bearing. About 8 months ago, I did a topend rebuild which included rebuilding the heads with new SS valves, compcams XE256, timing chain, water pump, polished Edelbrock Performer Clone intake and Edelbrock 600 (1405) and rebuilt the stock HEI. There is not a spot of cancer in this truck, the rockers, floor pans, cab corners etc... are solid as a rock. There is some minor surface rust on the top of the cab where the paint has faded and worn through. The pass. rear fender is buckled from the original owner backing into a tree, but that is the only major damage to the truck aside from minor dings and scratches. I drive this truck daily and typically log 150-200 miles a day around the DFW metroplex. On a typical day, I get 13-15 mpg, sometimes less if I run the A/C nonstop. This truck is not a hotrod, but rather a very reliable daily driver or tow rig. I have made a couple trips to MO and would not hesitate to leave tomorrow for a cross country trip. I'm asking $3,950, negotiable. I would trade for a 3/4 ton Diesel or possibly a Blazer. Feel free to ask any questions. Now for a couple pics. I will get a few updated pics of the engine compartment tomorrow.

Oh man, The nugget is up for sale. Ryan that is a great truck. Very clean and reliable. It is also a very solid truck. I have been on more road trips in it than I can count and if I had the money I would buy the D@mn thing. I sure hate to see it sell. but whoever gets it will have one good truck.

Good Luck to you buddy.

Thanks for the kind words Will. Yeah, I hate to see the Nugget go too, but I'm sure it'll go to a good home.

I will consider reasonable offers or trades, not limited to just a diesel or Blazer. However, no Ford products.

The price has been reduced and is still negotiable or would be interested in a trade. Other things that have been replaced are the four core radiator, hoses, fan clutch and belts. This truck is a very reliable driver and rides like a dream. The only thing I would do to this truck if I were to keep it, is to replace the door hinge bushings, that's all it needs, everything else has been replaced.

Thanks guys! I hate to sell the truck, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Trini, I was headed up to Mckinney to do some parts trading Sunday. I see you all the time around 544/Country Club on the weekends, but it seems that traffic always gets in my way so I can't catch up to ya.

Duece, I'd make the trip up there, only if I had the time, I love road trips. I wouldn't think twice about making a trip that far in this truck.

I plan on placing an ad in the auto trader coming out this weekend. I'm sure with enough exposure, the truck will sell quite easily. The internet is great, but only allows for a small amount of exposure, especially for local traffic. I've had quite a few locals inquire while on the road, but none with the $$$.

Ryan,
Try posting it on these newsgroups. I've had great luck selling cars and misc items here. Here's the link through google.com

http://www.google.com/grphp?hl=en&tab=wg&ie=UTF-8

dfw.forsale
tx.forsale
austin.forsale
alt.autos.classic-trucks
alt.autos.antique

Be sure not to post binary files to the group (attached pictures). Try posting a host link with your images. Wish you luck.

BTW- I live down Country Club at the New Port Harbor Sub.

Later,
TC

Thanks Trini, I'll give those a shot. I'm over in your area all the time, I've appraised a few houses in your neighborhood over the last couple years.

I'm headed out to East Tx this weekend and will have it parked on the side of the highway while I'm there for a little more exposure. I missed the deadline this week for the Autotrader, but hope to have it in by next weekend.

Thanks!

I only rebuilt the top end of the engine. When we had it apart, there were still some cross hatching in the cylinder walls, so I didn't tear it any further apart. I'll tell you that it burns a little oil, but it's not excessive and doesn't smoke.
