I did get a look under the hood. All in all, not too bad. Engine was reasonably clean (owner said he replaced a valve cover gasket, did an EGR delete). Carb is a Quadrajet, which can't be too much harder to rebuild than the Rochesters on my beloved old 250s and 292s. (Granted, I haven't done one of those in 20 years.)

Per the label in the glovebox, it has a 3-speed auto transmission, so it isn't a 700R4. THM400? THM350? Rear end is a 2.73. Engine is a 305 (was secretly hoping it was a 292; I miss my I-6s).
Most likely a TH350. If it is an LE9 305, that is the good one.
