Need Advise Guys!!!!!
Ok I bought an 87 K10 for a project truck a few months ago. It has a set of 15" rims with 45" tires. It has a 4" suspension and 5" body lift on it. It took a little work on the motor and rebuilding the trans, but I got it running. Well that is when I found out that I had mismatched gears. It has 3:42 in the rear and 4:56 in the front so needless to say when I put it into 4WD My rearend jumps like hell. Well I have been shoping around for a new rearend/gears when I found a 77 LWB 3/4 ton 4x4 that had no rims or tires, and didn't run. But eveything else worked i.e: TC, 4x4, brakes..... to do was go and get it. So I bought a set of old rims and tires from the junkyard just to go get it. Know I have a good motor, trans on the 87 that I can put in the 77 with no problem. My issue is that my 15" rims are 6 lug but the 77 is 8 lug. Is there any way that I can get to use these rims or am I going to HAVE to buy a new set of rims if not rims and tires. Is there such thing as a 15" 8 lug rim?
 That is my issue Please help. It seems my pics are to large for me to put them on.  How do I fix that????

Yes there is such a thing as a 15" 8 lug wheel. You will be limited some in your choices, but they exist.
I would be concerned about the 5" body lift though. You are putting quite a strain on the body bolts and bushings with that. The body will have a tendancy to move around. Hard braking, acceleration and turns shift the body in relation to the frame. This can affect the shifter and the throttle. I have seen them move enough to drive the fan into the back of the radiator too. |

Ok I figured out the Pics thing.Yea I was mistaken they are 40" tires not 45" and it has a 5" suspen. lift and about 3" of body lift. Here are some Pics before I swaped the axles. I have also put in a slidding glass in the bak also. I am still looking for some 15x10 or 15x12 8 lug rims If anyone has some. I also need to know how can I tell what the axles that I pulled out are. I know the are 10 bolts but that is all I know. The front has 4:56 and the rear has 3:42. About what are they worth. I have a th350 and I think it is a 205. Could use some help!!!!

The front has 4:56 and the rear has 3:42 - if that is correct - don't put it in 4wd or you are going to have major problems. You better pull the diff covers and confirm what gears it has - I really doubt that is correct. If that is correct, I would look that truck over real good for more problems and cut corners.
