40-80 Series Big Truck Steering Column Mount at Dash
Does anyone have any pictures of how the steering column is mounted to the bottom of the dash in a big truck? I think it is a pretty simple rubber/strap design.
I want to use something similar to get rid of the stock mount which holds the parking brake handle. Moving the parking brake to a pedal system like a 73-'87 truck. Any pictures and help appreciated. |

Re: 40-80 Series Big Truck Steering Column Mount at Dash
I didn't specify what year trucks that I was inquiring about. I want pictures of a '60-'66 40-80 series column mount. I want to get rid of the original setup that is designed for the parking brake lever. Will be using a '73-'87 style parking brake pedal.
Surely someone has a big truck sitting around. |

Its basically a u-shaped strap as those big trucks used an ebrake system on the trans if I remember right. These are from a 61 C60.
