I also have mine insured for $20K. My intentions are to raise it once I finish the restoration or when I think I'm a good bit above the $20K limit. When I think I'm over I will spend the money to get the appraisal to make sure. But to me if you talking only a few thousand then it's easier to wait and take that chance. Just my $.02
