New enigne with electronic throttle in a classic. How??
So I may be getting a motor from an '05 Silverado, 5.3, but it has an electronic throttle. Is there a kit that let's me put a cable TB on the engine? Thanks.

Why would you want to do that? Electronic works just fine and you can have cruise control easily with DBW. Just mount the pedal that comes with the engine and the TAC module. Many have had to cut the pedal off the electronic pedal assembly and weld or bolt the factory pedal at the height and position you want. That way the gas pedal matches the brake.

If you go to the LS swap area you will find all the answer's you have.
The 6.0 I have with 4L80E over drive is cable driven. Cruise control and all. Drive by wire is nothing to do but I like the feel of the cable myself. Either one is fine though. Check the link and do some reading. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...prune=-1&f=206

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

I think you have to hook the wire to the gas pedal

What alien said will work...I've used both dbc and dbw...I was wanting to swap my dbw to cable, but when I talked to psi they said I'd have to get a red/blue ecm to do that...and find a cable throttle, so I stuck with the dbw setup...a few mods to the mount and it works fine

Re: New enigne with electronic throttle in a classic. How??
I went dbw on my swap (gen IV 5.3, 4l60e). I got the truck pedal but it didn’t fit and I was unable to modify the weirdly shaped plastic pedal. There are a few car pedals that other swappers find easier to modify. It’s nice to mount it and plug it in and not worry about a cable conversion.
