Isn't much, but the best deal I've got was a front bumper and SWB bed for $1200, 8 miles from me 7-8 years ago. I thought the bed was 93% easy, it was stripped down to metal. But don't tell my body/paint guy that, he swears off restoring another bed.

I think what something is worth is a regional thing. Up here mint rust free is almost non existent unless it came from down south. I know what the parts cost and how much labour it is to disassemble, blast, repair the whole bottom of a truck, prep, paint and reassemble. When you can look at a scuff and paint cab from that perspective it's worth it's weight in gold. In the dry states where they are still quite reasonable to find either as a cab or a complete truck it's a different story. If I wanted to acquire a dry southern cab I'd have to pay a couple grand just to get it here.

My son and I got very lucky. He bought California sheet metal a couple years ago. He paid $5,000 for rust free cab, doors, fenders, inner front fenders, core support, and hood. I stripped the bottom of the cab for him. It was time consuming, but with no rust to deal with, wasn't to bad to do. My '69 truck is from Lancaster,Pa. I wish I took pictures of it before I repainted every thing 15 years ago. It's just as nice as his '72. Has all the original sheet metal. I think there is still more cherry cabs out there. Got to have patience to wait until they pop up.
