Smile Good price for Rally wheels?

I went to a local wheel place that specializes in OEM style wheels.

They gave me a quote of $350, for a set of (4) 15" x 7" oem repro. rally wheels complete with trim rings and center caps.

Looking through my catalogs, this seems like a pretty good deal.
What do you think? And what's the widest tread-width I can use on a 7"?

You should be able to find a set of 8" wheels pretty easily, off of a Suburban or pickup. I don't think I would spend that kind of $$$ on 7" wheels, but that is just me.

I like the 15x8 rallys better. They have a wider trim ring. I run 275/60r15 tire on my rear wheels.

I'm with Jonboy and 78chevstepside, I wouldn't pay that kind of money for 7's, and I like the 8" rally's better. I found a very nice set of 15x8's here locally complete with good center caps and decent trim rings for $125, and then I found a set of the original GM metal stickers for the center caps for $5 on eBay to make them look even better. If I'm not mistaken, the back spacing on the 7's and 8's is the same, so you basically gain an inch on the outside which brings the tires out closer to the outside of the wheel well. It not only looks better, it seemed to make my truck handle a little better too, but that could have been just because the tires were new.

Just for information, I'm running 255/70r15's on mine. Here's a couple of pics so you can get an idea.

I got my 15 X 8 Corvette Rally wheels from this guy who sells them on Ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=42614

The example auction is for the rallys for cars, but he sells the same wheel for truck applications too. Price does not include shipping, trim rings, and center cap.

This should give you an idea on pricing. Summit also lists rally wheels in their catalog too.

I got my set at a local salvage yard. 10 bucks a piece for the 7 inchers and 20 for the 8's. I didn't like the look of the 7 inch once I put it on, so I went with all 8'' rims. I went with 235 60 R15 on the front and 275 60 R15 on the back. It looks righteous.

I was offered a set of four 8 inchers at a swap meet about 6 weeks ago. They had brand new generic radials, 255/70/15, caps, and rings. He wanted $175.
