brake question

I just checked my rear brakes today & found backing plates worn badly not allowing shoes to self adjust. got on the phone to carquest & napa & dealer with no luck on availability. my rear is from a '80 C10 with 11"x2". has anyone ever found these, have any for sale? would consider changing to disc but not sure about prop. valve issue. I know I could repair mine by welding the wear pads back up & grinding flat again but it is my only ride now so down time is a problem.
thanks Todd

just braze em up or weld up either way if fine and make sure you use never seize on the contact spots so that doesnt happen again

If they aren't in too bad of shape i have used a sharp center punch on the pad. The punch raises the metal and gets rid of most of the groove then flatten with small hammer add anti seize for lube and your good to go. John
