Inline Power Steering and 12bolts Exhaust Manifolds

Well I finally found a power steering setup for my 250 six. It came with all the brackets and pump, pulleys, belts and hoses so I'm very stoked for that. What stinks is that the power steering main bracket won't clear my 12bolt exhaust manifold. Has anybody solved this issue? Can the two be made to work together? It looks like the main bracket could be cut out to allow a pocket for the exhaust manifold, but that would place the exhaust very close to the pump reservoir. I'm sure a heat shield could be made to protect it. I have an extra main power steering bracket I may sacrifice for testing. I hate to cut up a somewhat rare bracket. Looking to see if anyone has solved this and still used the 12bolt exhaust and the stock 6 cyl power steering stuff.

Have you got any pictures? I'm in the process of changing engines as I type. Both are 250's but the mounting brackets are different. The one I know was off a Beaumont 250 but the other was original. I don't expect it back until the end of the week. Have a good one eh! Good luck.
PS. Getting the pulley set up with the pump stuff is a big kudos in your favour. Apparently hard bto put it all together in pieces as something always doesn't match up.
