Hello everyone,

I posted this on the truck board. Wanted to see if I got anymore ideas from here:

I know this is a subject that comes up from time to time, but I am going to start it again. Lets see some pics of your dual exhaust routing. I am hopefully going to do my exhaust on the blazer soon and want some ideas. I am thinking of running the exhaust off the sides behind the rear tires. Would like to have it as tucked up as much as possible. Need some ideas.

Mine runs thru headers, over the tranny crossmember, thru glasspacks, back and over the axle, and routes out each side behind the rear wheels. Fairly straightforward for a competent pipe bender. Of course the pipes look itty bitty compared to some of the stuff their running nowdays (I think they're 1 3/4"). I'll try to get closer pics this weekend, but I'm pretty bowed up right now.

I've got Hedman headers, over the T-case crossmember, shorty Flomasters, then a 90 degree turn in front of the tires. Simple, short, and nowhere near the gas tank.

The setup on my blazer is just like 3wbdriver except with a bigger pipe..

My '69 has Flow Tech headers and 2.5" stainless with glass packs. It exits out the side right behind the rear wheels. My '72 has stock manifolds, unknown mufflers (haven't had a chance to fully check it out yet) and everything is tucked up under the truck so it can't be seen. Here's some pics of the '72.

Thrush (glasspacks) and Dynomax Ultraflow (glasspacks). Yes, Both. Full throttle is nice and mean and cruising speed is super quiet. I have run this combo on many of my vehicles. Very nice sound. All mufflers are straight through design.

You could do it with a flowmaster for similar results. It will take away the notorious highway droning.

Sanderson Shorty headers, 2.5" aluminized pipe, walker dynomax, angled to the side behind rear wheels........I wish I could take some credit for the nice install, but the PO gets the credit........

72c5 - what t-case is that? NP208?

I've never heard of that brand of headers. Do they make it easier to get to the plugs/starter/etc?
