6L80 trans shlifter

Anyone use a 2017 on Camaro style floor shifter in their C10? I added AN fittings for a trans cooler and they interfer with the column shifter.

Pretty low. Would you build a console to mount it up higher? You’d also have to make sure the cable is long enough.

I built a console and it would mount on the cover. 2016 and back the shifter has a rod and 2017 on it is cable. One is cheap, the other hard to find.

Howell can you send a pic or two? I'm just adding my AN connector for my 6L90 trans cooler and want to make sure I don't have the same problem with my column shifter.

Re: 6L80 trans shlifter

Just got home from surgery, so won't be crawling under car for a while. I used 6AN 90's and pointed them at about seven o'clock to try to get them out of the way of the column shift rod. Two thoughts I had was that I should have saved the assembly that come off the frame rail and used it to come up with a way to shift trans. And the other way was to use a 2017 or later Camaro shifter on top of a console that I reworked. If you look at the 2016 or earlier Camaro shifters, they have a pivot arm and use a rod to the trans shifter. Too much cutting console and floor to connect it. Cable would be easier. Let me know what you come up with. I spent $70. for a Lokar unit I can't use!
