Newbie with a new project
Hi so I've been lurking around here for a while and I had this crazy idea that I'd love to do a 67-72 suburban body swap with a later model one for a daily family hauler and tow vehicle for toy hauler. I hope to get back to that someday , but in the meantime I have picked up a 2013 2500 suburban and I've also picked up a GM 8.0 L big block. Not the 8.1 that was available in these trucks, but basically a 4.270 bore and 4.25 stroked gen 6 vortec 454. I plan to put that engine in the Suburban mated to the factory 6 speed auto and run it on the existing LS electronics. I'm looking for place to document and share. I will update as I go if there is an appropriate place for that here? This forum has so much good info on the older trucks and good participation, seemed like a good place.
