Door Binding
My driver side door on the 67 will occasionally bind and not open past half way and I will have to partially close it and reopen it a few times before the binding stops and the door will open all the way. I do not see anything obvious wrong with the hinge that would be causing this. is this a common issue, what is the issue is it the Hinge?

Re: Door Binding
I'd start with some good silicone spray lube then observe from there.

Also check the adjacent body panels. My passenger door binds up on the front fender, but I haven't had a chance to loosen bolts and make adjustments yet.

Re: Door Binding
Check also for cracks in the door frame around the hinges.

Re: Door Binding
I am not seeing anything too obvious. maybe one of you more experienced with the hinges can spot something.

Re: Door Binding
Pull the inner door panel and take a look-see to make sure something out of place is not hitting the portion that goes into the door. Make sure that same piece in not catching on the hole that it goes into. Other than that, you may have a broken pin. Willy eluded to this above.

Re: Door Binding
Looking at the same picture it appears the slider (that goes inside the door) is hitting something evidenced by the small flat spot on the corner towards the camera. (You can see the slider missing paint where it’s contacting something.) I suggest lubing the whole hinge, hit the flattened spot with a small file to round it and see if that fixes it. I always try the easiest thing first before tearing too deep into what ever the problem is.

Re: Door Binding
the pads for the stop arm are definitely missing and that's allowing the arm to bind. to my knowledge, the hinge must be taken apart to install new pads. I can get a picture if you need one.

Re: Door Binding
not the best pictures, but here's both sides. the are steel backed pads that bind as the door opens to slow down the door as you reach the end of the arm.

Re: Door Binding
You can buy just the pads. Like $13 or they might be in the bottom of your door!
