292 Head
Looking for a good
 head for my 70 292 reasonable.Where are the casting numbers on these heads? I have looked all over,only place left is under the valve cover?

Thats where they are.. under the valve cover. Cast into the head.

I've got one, but I'm on the other coast. You should be able to use any head from a 194, 230, 250. The only problem might be a smaller combustion chamber and higher compression.

They are available still at GM but for $585.00 ! I will try to hold out for a cheaper one !

I have 1 that just came off a running 292 150.00 or 1 fresh from the machine shop magnifluxed,pressure tested,new valve job, hot tanked and painted black 450.00.
