Put a fitech on it, constantly had problems with a bad unit. Also Installed their hyperfuel in tank pump In the 50gal tank.
Bought an 02 Tahoe 5.3 4l60e with 4xx,xxx miles on it. Tore it down(was I great shape) rebuilt it with new rings bearings and gaskets.
Kept it sock and put in the suburban 07/2018.
I stalled Dakota digital analag/electric gauges.
Less than 1000 miles on it drove it bay area to reno 200miles then immediately to washington 650miles. Then 700miles home.
The burb has always had a rear end squat. So I installed 3" c20 drop spindles and it levels it out.
Did the Washington trip 4 more times since than no issues, even towed wires broken 96 honda odyssey van from Washington down to cali.
Truck runs great with the ls, the 4.10 gears I have are high but I like the ho72 rear end.
In town I get 13mpg, highway I get 18. Towing the van I got 17 and couldn't even feel it behind me with the ls.
I took it to hot August nights 2019, had a blast. My truck is now way close to show worth but still fun.
Installed 04 tahoe front seats and console
We sold the wife's minivan and I traded my lifted toyota 4runner for a68 impala wagon to be the wife's new vehicle, With a 454 th400.
Was missing a carb, battery, and few other parts. Had everything laying around. Installed it all and drove it around the block than the tranny lost all forward gears.
So now we are taking the 02 5.3 4l60 out of the suburban and installing it in to the wagon.
But dont worry. I bought an 01 6.0 and 4l80e that I'm putting a sloppy2 cam In and putting it in The burb with speed engineer's ls c10 swap long tube headers.
