Old style saddle tank gas cap covers!

I have talked to a few 67 - 72 parts suppliers that say they do not sell this cover. Can they be obtained somewhere? I have 2 saddle tanks and one has a creased cover that I would like to replace. Also my cousin has a newer model pickup that he cant find a cover for it either. I was curious if anyone knew of a place that sold any kind of cover, chromed, whatever? Thanks!

If I had more time I'd have a used one to sell you. I want to do the Blazer tank install and graft in a gas door from a modern vehicle. When that is done I want to graft a similar door from the same style of vehicle in for the saddle tank so they match.

Perhaps somebody has an old bed they are using for a trailer with a door they'd be willing to part with.

I have saddle tanks on both sides. the drivers side has an opening just behind the stand. tank opening at the cab. right at the same height from the ground up. It is ran thru the side bed with a grommet and fill neck just like the stand. one. The passenger side saddle tank has a filler neck that you reach thru the rear fender well that comes out the rear of the tank. You fill it between the rear tire and the rear side panel. You might be able to see one side on my site by clicking on franko72 and visiting my web page

I bought a new one from the local RV dealer. It was even made of a heavier guage metal than the stock ones on my truck.
