There is a great-looking OEM GM brush guard on the parts forum right now and it's been on there a long time, because there is not much interest. *Hopefully nothing bad has happened to the OP, hopefully he's just become busy with other things and our trucks are not on his mind. |

Re: checking interest for factory brush guards
I think there is interest on the one for sale on the board, but its just really expensive, Im not saying it is or isn't worth the asking. I made an offer, but it wasn't taken and Im totally fine with that. All you can do is ask right?

Re: checking interest for factory brush guards
I'm on a lot of forums and the real enthusiasts don't do this sort of thing for profit .

Re: checking interest for factory brush guards
Keep searching the parts' forum. I bought a GM marked (OEM) brush guard about a year ago from a forum member. In my case I was able to drive to his house and pick it up in person but it was still a 5 hour one-way drive for me.
The other one I bought was due to a thread the seller began on here about a trip he'd made to a junkyard. I offered to buy it and he accepted. He shipped it to me as that was about a 5 day one way drive. I haven't put on either (of course) since I just haven't had the time to work on the truck since mom got so sick. So keep your eyes open, these come up every so often. I think they look great, have a "period" look to them, and would help in case of an animal hit or some jerk backing into you. |

Re: checking interest for factory brush guards
Look on Craigslist, they pop up there sometimes. I think there are a couple on there now.

Re: checking interest for factory brush guards
I'm still alive guys, to give a update, I've had two surgeries, one was to implant a neurostimulator to help with pain and to allow me to quit taking the opioid pain med that were damaging my kidneys and liver.
Then I moved, I got a place in the country and built a 30x50 shop (that's still not finished) hope to have it done by June or July. UPDATE on brush guards - I have both jigs (chevy and gmc) made and will definitely be building them as soon as shop is completed, keep following this thread and I'll let you know as soon as I start building. COST- as we all know the price of steel has steeply risen ! so this is all I can say for now I will do my best to do this a reasonably as I can, as a lover of these trucks I'm not doing it to make money but to help those who want one to have one. If their is anyone in my area (Cement Ok.) who would consider helping me build it would be GREATLY appreciated (PM me) Coop
