Like I told you in the beginning, The keyway repair job is for a machinist with precision tools, not a back yard mechanic with a file and sander.. The fit/clearance between the balancer and the snout is such that the two fit together with a "light" press interference.. All the welding you have done to the crankshaft has enlarged the crank snout and destroyed that precision fit to the point that a balancer will no longer fit..
