Correct brake line connections?
I have a 67 C10 that has been converted to front disc using 71-72 parts. I'm almost certain whoever did the conversion plumbed it wrong. It has the front of the master cylinder plumbed to the front of the proportioning valve but then the front of the proportioning valve plumbed to the rear brakes. Shouldn't the front of the proportioning valve go to the front brakes?(this is how my wife's 72 is plumbed & I don't see why someone would have changed it.)
Can someone please confirm for me which way is correct?

Re: Correct brake line connections?
This should be how the 72 prop valve is set up.

Re: Correct brake line connections?
Using rpmerf's diagram your larger master cylinder reservoir will go to the front brake inlet and the smaller reservoir will go to the rear brake inlet.

Re: Correct brake line connections?
That might be in theory. However in reality I have three 71-72 proportioning valves. None have a fitting on the top where your illustration says front brake outlet. They all have an outlet on the bottom where the illustration says can be used or plugged

There are multiple "tunings" and configurations released based on GVW, brake system, wheelbase, etc. You really can't just grab one randomly and throw it on without knowing what it came from, or ideally the meter/split/slope characteristics of that specific valve. K
