Odometer differances
Why do these speedometer have different parts? I know why the speed warning ones do but not why the regular ones do. Is it because of year of the truck maybe what... I'm curious to know.
If you look at the odometer wheel on the bottom some have a solid bar across it and others don't. If it has the solid bar the odometer wheel has no plastic keeper to hold the wheel from spinning. If it is not solid you have to have either the plastic keeper are make one like I do out of thin cardboard to keep them in place. I know why the odometer wouldn't work in the Ramp truck now. 2nd picture. Gears are ripped out of the 2 plastic gears. I took 3 more speedometers a part and fixed the one in the Ramp. Might be incremental improvements for a cost savings or durability improvement, not tied to a model year.
