difference in year models 72 to 73
As far as the chassis, what changed? I recently bought a '73 with the 350/205 set up (changing my Blazer to auto).
A friend is interested in the chassis for a 'put what he has together/play toy. He has a decent 72 long bed 2WD and is looking for a 72 chassis. I offered him the 73. Are the cab mounts the same? I have not done any measurements or checks. I put a 85 S10 on a 71K5 chassis and fabbed all the mounts but never did one this close in year models. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Scott |

Re: difference in year models 72 to 73
Never mind.
The first time I did a search on the forum nothing popped up. I made the post. I did the search again and there are a number of articles answering my question. Then I remembered when I put the S10 on the Blazer chassis I lengthened the frame. I cut a section out of 77 frame and it capped the 71 Blazer chassis like it was fabricated for that particular fit. One of those useless facts that get stored away and takes a minute or so to come back to the top. Scott |
