My original POA valve was a Delco brand which can be cleaned and recalibrated (if still good) but not rebuilt, the Fridgidare brand can be opened up and rebuilt. Original Air Products has a service for these but it is quite pricey.

I found a good used Frigidare brand on eBay that had been cleaned, tested and calibrated for R134 for a reasonable price, I figured if it ever goes bad I have a rebuildable core....works like a charm as is.

Ha ha, sorry, F.A.A.benny used to frequent the board, I haven't seen of him in a long while. He does a nice job restoring A/C to new, it's not cheap either, and probably add another $200 shipping. Interesting information, I'll have to check my POA, my guess it's Delco.

I have been slowly fixing my GMC. There are alot of parts that are interchangeable between The chevy's and GMC but not everything. And every so often I find something that won't inter mix. Like I have been changing my lights and turn signals over to LED's. They do not make a LED for my front turn signals. They also don't repop the housing for them, at least I haven't found any.

They do make the housing lmc has them. They dont make the plug for the light though. ( I know I need one) might have found one but haven't ordered it yet. As for the LEDs I have a set made by rob. The first ever set actually. Not the first installed. But are with clear lenses.

Hey, you gotta elaborate on that one... Are you talking about the orange Blazer that looks 100% original paint and has light yellow on the SPID? (it also had avocado plaid trim I believe) Or at least that's what it was ordered with, dunno if it showed up at the dealer that way or if the factory just built the original owner a totally different blazer than he asked for. Anyway, if none of this rings a bell... pls disregard

That had to be a typo or just the wrong SPID for that particular truck. I know that happened because I have the glovebox door off a friends Custom30 truck that was medium green but it says it was a light red Cheyenne

That there are 3 or more versions of factory bench seats that came installed over the years and that there are 3 different seat mounts of different heights and that's not counting the C40-C60 later versions that look very similar.

I learned that the door seals that go between the front fender and cowl are not exclusive to 71-72 Cheyenne Supers and were also put on the 71-72 Cheyennes as well and I realized that the 1970 CST I had had them on too.

I learned yesterday that's the tilt column horn contact is different then the non tilt. Not shure why.

Heh, a couple of friends ordered a (whatever it is that Dodge makes that looks like a Blazer) in some purple, without the back seat, because they had no kids. It showed up orange with a back seat and options they didn't want. I think that the salesman just pulled up something from the back lot after they ran out of patience. The wife chewed the salesman up one side and down the other, but they ended up taking delivery on it, anyway! I'dve had my money back, or a real piece of that salesman's hide.
